Are you sick or just detoxing?

Whenever I someone I know is about to detox for the first time, the first question after “Are you sure this is gonna work?” always seems to be “Will this make me feel bad?” followed closely by “Will I have to take time off from work?”

My straight answer to all three is: “It depends”.
